Has a

plastic model kit of the McLaren F1 ever been produced? That would be awesome to put together.

No, unfortunately a copyright issue meant not many models were produced, mostly die casts.

Studio 27 do a mixed media F1 in Race car colours, but no road car. It is also expensive, though nice!!!!!!!

Here's a pic of the resin kit manufactured by Profil 24 of France. I've seen them on eBay for about $150.

You can get the Studio 27 resin kit, already built, from www.islandcollectibles.net. The price listed is $400!!!

I've also seen a 1/43 one (two, actually) made by Minichamps. It was 360 EEK, erm, around $22. Looked *ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!*...
