black cylinder with dome????

what is that black cylinder with a dome on top? it is located on the driver side of the engine bay and has a few wires goin to it. plz help.

I think thats the ignition coil.

You need to be more specific about your question, there is nothing that matches your description except the brake booster or possibly your car alarm horn.

Not likely. The ignition coil is located inside the dizzy. Don't know what he's talking about though... I'd consult a manual.

I know what hes talking about. On the firewall like on the battery side all the way in the back is a black cylinder bolted to the firewall with about 2 or 3 big wires going into it. I know it is something electrical.

He says it's on the drivers side though... Unless it's a RHD model?

would he be talking about the thing that is above the manifold. mine used to say programmed fuel injectors.lol i think that might be it. then again i dont know.

no no, it's on the driver side and it's not on the firewall. it's mounted right above where the front strut is connected. it's in the crx i just bought and it is falling off. it might be what redracercivic said, a car alarm horn, but i'm not sure, cause i don't think this car has an alarm. hmmmm.
