86 Blazer vs 00 Saturn

Ok, my buddy and I are comin home from a friends house.

We're discussing my truck, saying things like "its no race car but it'll get up and move decently" "I think its got a shift kit.. shifts a bit hard when you put your foot into it"

So, we come up to this light heres this saturn 2dr coupe... it might of been a SC2.. Not sure so dont qoute me haah It was dark and I wasnt paying attention. I just happened to look over and the guy is look in back up at me smiling. Anywho... I pay no attention to him, Light goes green and I mash out cause like I said we were discussing how my truck felt under acceleration. And I look to my left and here is this Saturn going like mad to keep up. I say to my friend "check this guy out.. I think he's racin us" we both laugh at him cause his car is trying extra hard to pull me. He gets about... quarter of a car length ahead and I reeled him in like a Rainbow Trout. I kept my foot down till I was about 2 truck lengths ahead and left off. And he did the typical 'ricer fly by'.

My friend was laughing so hard that the Saturn was struggling to keep up. He was like "HAHAHA oh man thats great lil racer man could beat some tired ass 350 in a 5200lb truck thats lifted on 33's HAHAHA oh man.." I have to admit Im suprised my at what my truck can do sometimes. Hehe Go Chevy!

Wow, you're right, this forum is funny. Even more so when people brag on beating a saturn.

uhhh

Yeah, it is kinda funny... when my truck isnt a racing vehicle. Its very slow.

So yeah, I think it deserves some acknowledgement when it holds its own vs a smaller and more nimble opponent which has included now 2 Hondas and a Saturn.

So yes, I brag cause its funny. Thus I shared it with the populous for an entertainment factor.

That's Great

I've got a story. When my friend John had his 79' Silverado we used to race each other all the time. So, we are on this three lane road and we come up to a light. There are 2 or 3 cars in the left lane, he's in the middle, and I see there is no one in the right lane. So, being me I zip over there and stop at the light. John starts reving like made just drowning out any other noise. (454) So I'm like ok ass we're gonna go! We launch off he punches it for about 50ft. the lets off, I'm like "you ass," but then I look over there is a Saturn with exhaust & wing. This kid is pushing it to the limit, so I got over a lane to get next to him. There is a kid in the passenger seat with his mouth open pointing at me, like tapping the window. When I got over I looked, smiled, and left them. When John and I stopped to get gas, all he says is "I thought you'd like that." That crap was hillarious! I will never forget the kid in the window! :hehehe:

I'll bring my dad's diesel station wagon to the track! It would be cool to load that thing up with 7 people... all waving out the windows (not sure if they permit that) & take on Redneck's truck

1/4 Mile E-T: 30 seconds :bandit:
