Honda need to bring back the Del Sol. They can keep it a targo top but use the X design that they did to the S2000 to make the body stiff, and keep the same front end they had on the 1993-95.

It would be nice, but I doubt we'll see it. That market segment is filled nicely by the S2000, and the variants that are being experimented with and perhaps to some small degree being produced over in Japan. I don't see Honda building more models that will ultimately cost them more money just to put more models on the streets that compete with their own cars (e.g. they already have the Civic, Integra, Prelude, and even Accord competing in partially-overlapping circles).
But I do miss the Honda Del Sol

I personally think that the Del Sol was brang back with the S2000.....but Honda only changing the name. Same with the Insight....it's just a newer CRX!!!

i dont think that we will ever see the sol brought back for the fact that when it first came out there was no demand. it is just now that everyone is realizing how great a car it is. Maybe cause i was too expensive when it first was out or something but i dont think we will see it again

yeah I think that honda changed their market strategy with the S2000 to all the sols enthusiasts and other import enthusiasts as well. I know of about 3 solers that traded their sols for the S2000. I am thinking about getting one myself.. but ofcourse keeping the sol.

$
$32,000 for a car that ROCKS the Boxter and SLK? I want one! On the also, I heard that they were going to stop production soon from some guy at a Honda dealer. The SOL lasted 4 years on these shores, i give the S2000 another year.

Id give the S2000 at least in some form quite a while yet.
The major difference I see between the del sol and the S2000 is the del sol was based on a EG civic so could be made cheaper but was also doomed when the EG was replaced by the EK because it no longer shared enough similarities with the civic to be profitable. The S2000 on the other hand has few parts in common with any other model and is more of a niche product with a higher price. As long as sales are maintained it can be produced. In its current form it might not exist for much longer but there will be a variation on it somehow. Id love to trade my del sol on a S2000 its just theres a small difference in the value of each of them.
