No, how about a real one. Like a 1971 426 Hemi Cuda with a shaker and 14 inch rallye wheels?

I'm all about shakers, my dream is a 71 440 shaker rallied out, white with black billboards. the 440 torques up faster then the hemi, but clearly can't hang in the quarter. All the same, i think the 440 has a touch of class over the hemi's bruet, inspiring, sexy, mmmmmm, power.

I beg to differ. In '70 my 440 6pack convt. would beat a street Hemi, well it did at Lewisville (Dallas) drag strip. That was the only street hemi I ever ran into. But there was a tri-power Vette I also beat, then I was dusted about 10 lenghts by a Boss 302 'Stang. He ran a 6pack Super Bee in the finals and did not even take the tree advantage and won by 5 lengths.

It is nice to have the two extra barrels on the six pack, but there is nothing like the Hemi, that is why that is all the use in top fuel drag cars.

Hell put an extra two barrels on the Hemi.

the shaker was an option and it would come with either versions of the 383, the 440 and the hemi. It was not standard on the hemi - the "air grapper" air cleaner was. It was unavailable with the 340 or any either the grand sport or the barracuda, only the 'cuda. One would have to choes between a/c or the shaker - which costed more, you couldn't have both. I would have gone with the shaker, ac is highly overrated. Man, i wish i grew up in the mid 50s so that i could have a cuda in the early 70s.
