Power switches and setups. Misc Questions too
Take a look at this: http://fusionimports.com/images/12.jpg for an idea.?
I'm thinking of setting up something similar to that for interior neon lights and various other inside things. Also setup to the exterior underbody glow kit. I want to be able to turn 'em on and off at he flick of a switch incase those pesky cops come aorund. Would i have to get a secondary power sourcE? [battery] Also would I have to run a fresh line from the fusebox to the bar or could I use cigerette lighter or what?

sorry if im thread stealing a bit here, but that looks clean. I was thinking of doing the exact same thing with my interior neons and underbody kit. On a side note, does anybody know of any sites explaining how to hardwire these sorts of things in, like sorta like wiring diagrams in steps (connecting the neon, to the fuse, to a switch, to the powersource, etc., etc.)

I think the easiest way to set that up would be to bypass the main fuse box all together. You dont want alot of stuff running from a single fuse. Run a power wire straight from the battery to the box and then either buy a fuse box or put single fuses on the individual components. I really dont know if you would need another battery or not, I guess it would depend on what all your running.

I built a panel like that for my civic, but I've never used it. It's very easy to hook that stuff up, and I can get you a wiring diagram if you need it. Basically, for a neon, you would run a wire from your positive battery terminal to a fuse (I planned on adding a fuse block right near the switches, don't use the existing fuse block under the dash), from the fuse, wire to one terminal of the switch. From the other terminal of the switch, wire to the Neon light (usually to the transformer box that comes with it). Then, wire the transformer box to ground and you're all set.
My design was also going to have LED's that would light up for each switch so you could tell exactly which neons were on... Not really necessary, because you could just see wich switches were flipped, but I think it'd be cool anyways. The panel I built was milled from a copper-clad fiberglass sheet, and the holes were drilled for the switches and LED's (to within .010" accuracy). The panel would fit directly over the CD slot that goes just underneath the radio (I have the optional stereo console). Anyways, if you want, I can make you one, and even pre-wire all the LED's and switches and fuse block and stuff...

would some sub wire with an inline fuse do the trick for the power? Small wire since neons probably dont use that much power.
As far as my own personal wiring expirence goes, I have done my entire system, and fog lights myself, I also did my washer leds when they still worked (lol, like that was hard)

im not much for neons and under body lights, but that box that ci5ic is talking about sounds pretty fucking cool.If its powered off the battery and has its own fuses and such that would be perfect for lights or whatever you wanted to run...
