Question Another polishing question

After you've got your paint job done and it's done curing and everything else, do you go strait to the tamiya compound and wax. Or do you have to sand the paint with some fine sandpaper and then compound and wax.

Sometime it helps to wetsand very lightly on flat surfaces with some high-grit sandpaper. The paint should look fuzzy or hazy in spots, and then you go at it with polish and shine it up.

I got a bottle of those plastic polish for car lights n plastic parts, would those work on models?
