Question Turbo kit for 99-00 Civic EX

I am looking to purchase a Greddy turbo kit for my 99 civic ex. they only make a kit for the 92-95 civic. I was just wondering what modifications do i have to make for the kit to fit my car? Any input would be helpful.

ive been readin up on this since i wanna do this too... apparantly, the only difference is in the charger pipe mounts (probably lookin at some minor custom welding to change their locations to fit...), lengthening the O2 sensore wires (which requires soldering...), and wiring the blue box aka FCU... check out this place... im about to join... http://pollito.no-ip.com/turbod16/ u dont hafta join to see the thread i was lookin at... the thread is called '00 EX Turbo kits?'

it doesn't need any mods. everything fits on, its just that the charge piping is going to be a tight fit. and you need to splice the wires to hook up the blue box. if you go to turbocivic.net, theres an install with the greddy kit on a 6g civic.

i have a turbo gen 6 sohc vtec, everything fits great no mods needed, like he said, kinda tight squeeze for the charge pipe but thats really it, depending on if you have a body kit the intercooler might be a tight squeeze also but it fit perfectly on my blk widow frt end. blue box is fine, splice it, get a vtec controller in you wanna more boost than the greddy wastegates stock 6psi, i say get one so you can monitor your fuel a bit better and drop your vtec engagement, let me know if i can be any help, oh yeah, by the way im running the greddy kit for the gen 5 civics

Do you think the intercooler would clear the STOCK bumper? I', thinking of that kit for my '00 Civic DX coupe. But I dunno now much further tweaking the kit would require do make it fit a DX non VTEC motor. It sounds to me you need VTEC to hook it to that blue box you all aare talking about. From what a loca shop told me, GReddy currently has a 6th gen ('96-'00) Civic EX turbo kit in development as we speak, and is slated to be out sometime in maybe like march or something like around that time.

yeah greddy does have a kit for the 6 gen civic coming out soon, it supposed to be an 18g turbo and all. price is gonna be about 3200 i believe when it first comes out. im pretty sure the intercooler will fit a stock honda bumper cuz ive seen em before in pics of 5 and 6 gen civics without an aftermarket front end

I have this kit on my car with a Type 31 FMIC. It's awesome and I love it. The O2 sensor does need to be lengthened because it's relocated to the downpipe right under the turbo. If you want install instructions, see my site. I've got pics, video, and sound. Enjoy.
