Geez!

I was just reading that crap that YJHeD was saying, I know it was absoloute shit but bloody hell! Why don't you mods just CLOSE that type of thread when you see it? Why do you hold someones taste in cars against them? You were all calling that person a dickhead, arsehole and all the rest just because he was voicing about his opinion of American cars! Why can't you just see that theres always going to be arseholes like that, sure I just called him an arsehole aswell but only because of how far he took that,. There was no need for it. It only happened because of how you all responded, i'm niether sticking up for him or having a go at any of you, but get over it. Bloody hell, I can't believe some of the shit that goes on in forums all around the internet. If i said that Japanese cars are crap and American cars are better then everything else I would get word bashed by you all because you have an image in your head aboout an American car (mainly musclecars in most cases) being an unsafe, massive fuel consuming heap of shit that has no purpose on the roads. I wonder how many of you will have a go at me for saying any of this, even though most of it isn't saying anything wrong. I like cars from all over the world but I don't favour one over the other massively. I now sit and wonder how long it will take for someone to react to this in the same way that happened to YJHeD. Also I wonder if a mod will close this thread because they might pick up something slightly offensive, I look foward to seeing this outcome. Come on, ban me for voicing an opinion !

I led a full fledged verbal assult on him not for his taste of cars- but the way he wouldn't accept the fact we don't like Yank Tanks- and then his racist attacks and abussive PM's.

As far as I'm concerned I've finished insulting him and his worthless opinion

From now on I'm just going to shoot him down when he makes a mis-informed comment- just for the sake of informing him

Yeah well as I said, he was an arsehole for how far he took that. I don't give a damn if other people don't like the sorts of cars I do.

Go for it! Go "shoot him down" as you say! You'd do us all a great favour to make him leave! I don't want anything to do with those types of discusions now, they are pointless. It would be easier to just put "I like American cars" or "I like Japanese cars" in your sig then to have an all out war. Makes you feel for the proper fans of Imports or Musclecars who can respect the other "side" as you could call it, when a out spoken arse comes out like him. I've seen people on other forums, ie Supercars.net saying those thing about imports..."they are the best" "they could kick a Musclecars arse" all that. I can't go past musclecars but I hold as much respect for European and Japanese cars just as much! Can anyone understand that?

Lowriders4Life: Thanks for sticking up the point I was TRYING to get across to these people. And I do agree with you, I was a complete a-hole to these guys but only because that's how they treated me. The moderator taranki(???) basically told me that I was warned because the people I was arguing with people who had better jobs than me and more posts on here.

Here is the quote from taranki:
You wandered into a thread and started shouting your mouth off about things that were none of your business, and insultedseveral senion members, including a senior executive from the Fiat company, and a couple of highly skilled automotive technicians.

taranki: My first question is, why is someones status in his or her company remotely relevant to how I respond to them on a message board? If they are that desperate for respect then I suggest they stay in board meetings and off posting boards where no one cares what they do for a living. I don't care if he's the president of porsche, his opinion is simply an opinion on this board and subject to the same criticism and commentary as any other post would be. How 'bout this, my Dad is the President of the largest engineering company in the world, does this mean that anybody who makes under 6 figures can't comment on my posts?

he earns six figures and is the head of an engineering company so how does any respect given to him translate to you

here's my commet "spoilt brat"

and you can't complain cuz its against what you just said

My dad works for ericsson he earns six figures that doesn't mean i can make mobile phones with my bare hands nor does it mean i'm different from anyone else. (other than being a bit of a tard when it comes to writing). :finger:

And just cuz i'm doing automotive engineering doesn't mean i'm better than you ..............

Lets see if I've got this right.

Their are a billion or so Japanese vs US auto maker threads active at any given time.

One annoying thread got closed that was complaining about the contenat of a billion other threads.

Now theirs a thread complaining about the closed complaint thread about the billion other threads.

Sheesh

Making threads to complain about other threads that have been closed is simply not acceptible.

If you want to continue this discussion, I would suggest using the PM System.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.
