Please help, not a normal Trac OFF and Anti lock problem

I was driving on the freeway doing my minimum speed of 70mph. After 15min of driving my Trac Off light and my Anti luck light came on. The car is doing this humming type of noise comming from everywhere, the more i speed the louder the sounds get as soon as i brake the sound stops. I have replaced the brakes all around like a month ago, i checked them yesterdays everything looked fine. When i turn my car off then after a while i turn it back on my low trac light comes one flashing and as soon as that stops my Trac Off light and the Anti luck light comes one. I do not have a SES light on which is weird. i don't think it will be a hub sensor. By the way will the e-brake cause such a thing if its stuck on, like touching the rotors at all times?

Welcome to AF. Could cause the humming, so could a hub bearing, or a scalloped tire, all these things need to be checked during the normal diagnostic process. The abs needs to be scanned with a full function abs scanner to check codes and speed sensor inputs.

What about a Service Vehicle Soon light on? I've had the ABS/Trac lights come on at the same time as the SVS. It's too freakin cold to work on it right now and I don't hear the humming coming from the hub yet, so I'm not so sure that's what it is. Thoughts?

Re: Please help, not a normal Trac OFF and Anti luck problem.

The SVS light comes on when you get a traction control and ABS system fault so that is normal. Fix the problem and the SVS light will go out.

As JC mentioned get it scanned but with an ABS capable scanner.

Re: Please help, not a normal Trac OFF and Anti lock problem

If you have the parking brake on when the car is moving the car should make a fast dinging noise (like when you leave on your headlights and open the door) and the Trac Off light and brake light should come on. This is to alert you that your Traction Control System has been disabled and that you are braking with out any traction control system. That is all that should happen.

Actualy if your parking brake is on, the dinger is reminding you that it is on , so you dont drive with the P brake on.

When the ETC button is pushed, then the ABS and traction control are disabled.

If it's a humming one or both are bad.

I personal try to replace them in pairs, but at the price these hubs still cost, it can be detrimental to your wallet.

When the ETC button is pushed, then the ABS and traction control are disabled.

If the ETC button is pushed, it will only disable the traction control which limits wheel spin when accelerating, the ABS should still work.
