B17A into a 89 Civic DX

i just got a B17 off of ebay, u might have seen it on there. i got the engine, tranny, ecu, axles, shift linkage, and wiring harness for $1135. i probly gonna try and convert my car to OBD1. what am i going to need for this using the B17 ecu?

the engines got 112,000 miles on it, but i can deal with that. most of those JDM engine sellers lie anyways when they say 30-40K (BS). i'm excited. i probly won't do the swap myself because i really don't know that much. how much do you think it will cost for a place to install it?

Dam those are nice motors. I've only ever ridden in one car with one in it and dam. You should feel lucky at night when you go to bed, to own one of those, their hard to find, let alone everything still together and intact. People like to rob the cranks out of those for build-ups. That should make your car unique.

thanks for the reply. i am really excited to get it cause it is so rare, even though it is only a little faster than the b16. i can't wait.

anyone know how hard it is to convert to OBD1? i wouldn't think it would be too hard for me considering i have the ecu and wiring harness for the b17.

B17 is a good buy bro. The only difference between the b16 and b17 is the torque. it has 7lbs more torque. Well good luck!

And must not forget the wonderful YS1 transmission... I believe it has the best gearing of all the b-series transmissions
