cutting out.

ok im sorry if there is another like this but i could not find it. so i put a 1g turbo in my 1997 eclipse gst spider. before i did it, it ran great but wanted more. so after i put it in the check engine light came on and it started spiting and sputtering at like 17 psi. it does not do it when you first start the engine but after about 10 minets of driving, it starts. i must also add this not sure how it effects anything, but when im taking off the boost will hit about 10-12 psi and will level untill i get to about 4500 rpms and then it will jump to 17 where it starts to sputter. at first i just thought that i have a boost leak so i just went ahead and bought a frond mount intercooler and it is still doing it. i was woundering if anyone has simmular situation. now i have not modufied the fuel system so it might be the injectors. not really sure i have a set of 550s that i gonna try. but i dont think that would set off the check engine light. also i took it to autozone to get a reading off the check engine light and i forget the code but they did not know what it ment. any help.

Re: cutting out.

Your sig says you have a 255. How is that not a modified fuel system? You need an AFPR if you don't already have one.

Throwing a FMIC won't result in magic boost leak fixes. You need to test your entire intake system. Get rid of those "irradom" plugs and get yourself a set of NGK BPR7ES.

Is your BOV recirculated?

You also need to somehow separate your list of mods in your sig instead of the fumblefusion you got going on down there.

Re: cutting out.

Sounds like its running out of gas. That 14b flows more air than your old t25

Re: cutting out.

I would say to not get the projected plugs. NgkBr7es I have found to be slightly superior. ANd they were both better than my iridium plugs. I put in iridiums cause kevin once said that platinums were horrible but iridiums were ok under boost. I tried the Iridiums and well all i gotta say is save your money.
Def sounds like your injectors are running at 100%IDC most people can't push the T25 past 15-16 PSI on stock injectors so you running the 14b at 17 is well... Self explanatory lets hope you haven't knocked too much off your pistons :P

sorry i should have clairifyed. this is not my talon that i have all the mods posted. this is my eclipse gst convertable. and i do not have any thing dont to the fuel system. but if it is the injectors then why would it set off the check engine light. yes the bov is recirculated and it is also crushed.
