Well I have a 1980 528I and i'm looking for seveal parts for it. Let's make a list. First of all this is a list off the top of my head if you have any parts i havn't listed and want to know if i'm looking for it please reply and i'll tell you..i'm looking for an awful lot of parts so i may be. These are just the current parts and questions. Windshield wiper motor, Front drivers Window switch, Sunvisers, front hood BMW sign, rear seat, floor mats, AC motor,
Next i have a question for anyone who might know... For a short while now it's had trouble with it's cold start. Is that a prob. i can fix or it just becuase it's old. Can i replace something or fix something to solve this prob.

I just bought a 1988 528e and was also told of this cold starting problem. The mechanic suggested a fix could be in the replacement of a cold start solenoid. I have not checked it out yet, i just purchased the car on Sunday 12/8. I'll let you know what I find.

Check the cold start valve first, it is located on the intake manifold. A cold start valve is pretty much just an extra fuel injector that when the car is cold, it constantly sprays extra fuel to all cylinders till the engine reaches 81 degrees F. To check it just loosen the two bolts, aim the injector into a clear plastic soda bottle, start’er up and see if the cold starter sprays, if it doesn’t check that the cold start valve is getting 10-12 V, if it is replace it, if it isn’t check the temp trigger sensor, it should have voltage continuity when cold, if it doesn’t replace it, and one more thing, good luck!

I'm pretty sure I can get you very thing that you need.
-do you want an illuminated window switch or the regular one?
-I could get you a new front BMW emblem or used, the new ones are pretty cheap.
-do you need the upper portion of the rear seat or the lower? what color? leather?
-what color floor mats? do you need all four?
-AC motor?, do you mean the blower motor?
-sun visors, no problem..
-wiper motor, no problem..
