Question No Cruise Control

My 94 Jimmy S-15 quit while driving. Had it towed to a repair shop. They said fuel pump bad. Replaced pump, engine runs fine now. While driving it home, I found the Cruise Control didn't work. Checked fuse, found it was OK. Took it to another shop (a friend) and asked him to check all connections related to CC. He didn't find anything loose or disconnected, but he doesn't do electrical work. My question ....could the CC failure be coincidental , or something they did during the pump replacement? The mech that replaced the pump said the fuel lines were difficult to remove from the tank so he removed the tank with the lines attached. So, he must have detached the lines somewhere forward.

Any ideas would be appreciated, otherwise, I'll have it checked out at an auto electric shop. Thanks
