scca crx

Trust me, it's faster than it looks, the humble green paint seems to make it look slow, but beneeth that custom made hood, is a j-spec b18c from a 98 integra type r, it's stock... for now, all the spoilers and wings are there for a reason, to keep this car planted to the ground, without them, the car woulednt be as fast, did I mention this is'nt a drag car

The block says B18c, we opened it, its a stock type r engine, we dynoy'd it at 202 hp STOCK, the internals, EVERYTHING was type r, I don't think someone is gonna get a gsr block and make EVERYTHING type r in it, they would just get a type r block, trust me , Its a type r motor.

Wait till you see our competition, 89, v-6 twin turbo nissan 300zx, it's built up the ass, the thing is a monster, can't post pics, sorry, If yove been to the latest L.A auto show, youve seen it in the SCCA booth, its black.

wW were confused too when we baught the motor, but when it dyno'd at 200 hp at the engine, thats how we knew it was a type r engine.

B18C= JDM Type R & JDM GSR
B18C1=USDM GSR
B18C5=USDM Type R
It's gh3y that JDM honda motors dont have suffixes, cuz they ran into the problem of having 2 very different motors w/ the same engine code.

G'damn, I didn't know you could swap a motor into a civic chassis and run ITE. Sucks my local region for as big as it is doesn't run ITE here yet. Just ITA,B,C, and S far as I know. Personally, I'm a fan of the GT-5 and GT-4 hondas with their rear wheel drive converions some of them have hehe. BTW race cars don't need power steering Course with that much power and some hosiers all around it might be worth it. My old DX runs in ITC now so i'm always learning things about road racing classes.

Mellowboy, get a rear sway bar and some damn good tires (like falken aziens) they'll probaly put you in STS (less you got a motor swap or forced induction) but you'll be able to hang a little once you get some seat time under your belt. Later when your feelins saucy get bushings you'll love the difference.

That thing's awesome man. I want to run STS but I doubt I ever will, we used to run it with a Dodge Shelby CSX heheh....the original factory sleeper...that thing had soo much understeer. Went through a set of goodyear gatorbacks in like one month. That CRX is awesome man. I love the negative camber...so what do you drive on the street? BTW it's good to see you back habib

Ferrari (i wish)

That crx is my dads, on the street he drives around in a 96 corolla, My brother and I both have gsr's, and we baught a 94 civic coupe to turn that into a racecar, the crx is gonna be put up for sale with a 170 hp(all motor) D16 non-vtec engine in it (I.T.A)

I taught you were talkin about how the crx drives on the street, It has no headlights, slick tires, loud as hell, It drives fine on the street, a little bumpy, but its fine

Talking

integra818 - OH you can drive race cars on the street hehe my one other friend spent the entire last winter fixing up this ITC 3rd gen hatch he bought. Got it perfect like 2 weeks before his first drivers school, so he said he decided to go drive it around the block a few times. He said it was a total scream...till just before he got back to his house and there was him mom pullin into the driveway haha. Also alot of the guys that rally cross here locally, outta the 4-5 pure rally cars with cages and all that show up....two of them get on the turnpike to drive home after the events, totally crazy.

red4thgencivic - HAHA CSX's own, old turbo dodges have to be the biggest sleepers ever. My friend has a old beat up lookin mid 80's charger. However last I checked for like 100 bucks they made it run 14's and its slowly getting faster hehe. You'd never think that by lookin at it.

Yeah habib that CSX was awesome, it's not everyday you get whooped by a shadow. We had the Thrifty car rental model, it was white with grey body moldings around the bottom. The best part about the car was puttin it in a turn and getting on it real hard and watching the boost gauge climb...oh man, I think it's time for a trip to chicago to try to buy that thing back. It was soo ugly yet so fast.

Yeah I drive a 360 modena on the street...haha I wish. I'm only 16 so maybe one day. what's going in the coupe...The b18? There's not that much of a scene out here and we got tired of having to drive like 5 hours for a day of good autocross so we stopped doing it.
