96' Cavalier A/c runs slow at stop but then speeds up when driving?
I have a 96 Cav 2.2. When I am at the light it blows low but then when I am driving it is blowing hard. The temp coming out is cold but its just when I am at a stand still it will start getting hot in the car cause it is blowing at a low speed. Any ideas anyone?

Re: 96' Cavalier A/c runs slow at stop but then speeds up when driving?
The issue is most likely that your car is idling low and you're putting a large draw on it. The AC compressor takes a good amount of power to run as does the alternator with a full load. Those two factors combined with a hot car and a hot cooling system (power diverted to cooling fan on both AC condensor and radiator) on a car that doesn't make much power, especially at 600rpms gives you the afore mentioned issue.

do a voltage drop on your grounds- check batt to chassis, then batt to block- while running, and finger the throttle
