05 Expedition Injector Problem
I recently was forced to buy a brand new engine for my 05 expedition because two injectors stuck open (for whatever reason) causing fuel to spill through my entire engine and back out my tail pipe. All of this within driving it .3 miles, noticing a problem, turning around and going back home, where it sat until monday when I took it to a mechanic. Ford refused to help me and the dealer wanted $10,000 to put a new engine in. Basically I bought a lemon and Ford refuses to even acknowledge the problem. Never will I buy a Ford product again!

Ford, now, has extended the warranty on the injectors to (Ithink) 11 years and 120,000 miles. Just recieved paperwork today for the 1005 trucks and suv's we have that have the 5.4 3 valve engine. Check with Ford, not the dealer.

YEs there is an open recall on the injectors, I have changed 2, 5.4 3 valves due to injectors, one had 61K and Ford payed it all. The only problem, is that the injectors that are the problem, are the VERY SAME ONES that they are replacing the broke ones with.!!!! There is NO UPGRADE INJECTOR! RIght now the 61K engine is still having injector issues, even after we replaced ALL the injectors with the new engine, PO316 and 30_.
