Re: oil is white

Your most likely leaking small amounts of coolant into your heads which usually means a new head gasket. How many miles do you have on the engine?

Re: oil is white

well, he did mention that his coolant level did not change, so i don't see how it could be the head gasket. it might be as simple as a faulty oil filter. change your oil and filter, drive it a couple miles, and see what happens.

Re: oil is white

several factors come into play here.
You say the oil is " a white slug color".
that is water in the oil. wherever it came from is the question.
Signs of this occuring are often caused by moisture being built up in the crank case and show up on the stick or filler cap first.
You first need to double check your oil level and pay close atteneion to the oil, not the milkyness. IE: is the oil whiped in with the water or is the stick full of sludge and your oil ir reading over the sludge.
You could have something as simple as a bad pvc valve. Oil filter not functioning could cause this situation as well.
Your vehical infromation would be help full. type of vehical, engine.
