Re: any know the best fuel injector cleaner

Assuming the fuel injectors are the cause...

Seafoam is one of the best that you can pick up at an auto parts store. Runs $5-$7 a can, but works very well. It works so well that if there is buildup in the fuel tank, it may plug the filter.

BG makes a product called "44K" which is probably the best I know of. It's a bit more pricey... I can't remember exactly, but I think it's ~$15 for a can. You'll probably have to ask around locally to find someone who carries it.

You want the best fuel injector cleaner. I always buy some auto parts online. Try to look at it I know they have everything.

Techron $6 is good and so is BG44K $18 and seafoam $6. BG is only available from dealers.

Re: any know the best fuel injector cleaner

If you call local shops and find one that uses 44K, they'd probably sell you a can. No need to find a dealer just for one can.

Oh, and '97ventureowner, nice catch on the link, but you missed the date this time

Re: any know the best fuel injector cleaner

Just for clarification When I said dealer I meant car dealer. Just go to the parts counter.

Thanks J-Ri for the headsup. I found the member "mustangwilliams" had been inserting unauthorized advertising links in his posts, so I ran a history search on his posts and then went down the list checking each post he made, removing the link. I should've seen the date as he already had resurrected 2 other old threads, and I guess I was caught up in the moment of removing the links to not see the dates on this one. The member has been warned about his actions.
For future reference I also recommend B G's 44K . I've used it for over 15 years without any problems. It is available from some shops that use it and some will sell it retail. Here is a link to find locations near you.http://www.bgprod.com/bgdistloc/distloc.php On some searches it lists a distribution warehouse in another state. If you contact them, they might be able to tell you who carries it in your area. Here is another link of the BG site where you can get further information: http://www.bgprod.com/home.html
