Hi, I was looking at buying a used Mitsubishi Galant, years 2001 through 2003, since they generally seem to have really good opinions. Anything in particular that I should be aware of when looking for one of these cars? Thank you!

Re: Buying a used Galant...
If you're looking at buying one with an automatic transmission with high mileage, make sure it has been serviced. The transmissions weren't the best.

What is considered to be high mileage? I was looking at Galants with around 60-80k miles.

I would consider anything at the high end of that range to be high mileage.

Re: Buying a used Galant...
I have a mitsubishi galant 2004 with 275 000 km. the transmission is very great with the km and the motor don't take oil. It's the old taxi of my daugther and they do 250 000 of taxi in two years with no probleme so if you want a galant 2004 and higher ist very good car. The 3,8l is too powerful for the same transmission so you wiil have a lot of trouble if you buy this model.
