88 GMC wipers come on even when switch is off

Most of the time my wipers work fine. But sometimes for no apparent reason, the wipers come on when the switch is in the off position? They may only make one cycle and shut off or sometimes they make several cycles then shut off. This doesn't happen all the time, just some of the time. Any suggestions?

There is a problem with the circuit board, bad solder connections. If you remove the balck plastic cover on the wiper motor you will see the board. You can buy new ones, you don't have to replace the motor. This is a very common problem.

Tip-Try to find a AC Delco dealer to get the part, it often less from AC Delco than GM.

If you want to fix the the board, you can google this and you will find a ton of info on it. Problem with 88 to about 95 wipers
