Arrow Tamiya Castrol Toyota Tom's Supra GT. BUT DIFFERENT!

This is a very different example of tamiyas Castrol Toyota Tom's Supra GT.
It is built to the manual with all the parts the box could offer but with different looks, colors and vinyl.
It has a CANDY RED paint job with grey undercoat then a gold base and some clear red on top the underside has been done the same way as the body.
It has white center wheels with Bright Green calipers it has a Bright Green recaro bucket seat with red belts and a Bright Green Center Console toooo!!!!.
It has mesh in all the vents also. And a gold exhaust with a silver tip.
Silver gear stick with a Bright Green knob.
I am told it is very show car / race car lol.
It also has Bright Green Tow Hooks back and front.
This has been completed for some time and i decided to show my favorite model of my collection i hope you like it.
THERE ARE ALOT OF DETAILS LIKE ALL THE BOLTS AND SCREWS HAVE BEEN PAINTED AND THE RIVETS HOLDING THE BODY KIT OVER THE WHEEL ARCHES HAVE ALL BEEN PAINTED IT WOULD BE A DELIGHT TO SEE IN PERSON.

Ohh yer the original decals look very cool but i will definitely get another kit of this and make a white one like on the box.
One of my other projects was a R34 xanavi its also different in a candy apple green instead of the traditional red but when i see another kit of the xanavi i will do the red version lol.

BTW: I am glade you liked it.

Hi

Try to paint the window surrounds and the transmission between the rear wheels and make som detail painthing of the wheelnuts. Will improve things IMHO. Red decals on a red finish? Doesn't work. A gold would have been better or no decals at all - or just those that can be used against the red background. Green details - not my cup of tea - but if it works for you?

Best regards

Flemming

Hi um yer in retrospect i should of painted the differential but i wanted to leave it white to give it a showy appeal and i am just starting to paint the window surrounds on my more modern models as i completed this one a fair while ago when i was but an amateur.
The red decals do not look good in the pictures but they stand out in real life with a pinky red appeal but i love the green highlights lol.
But yer as i said i was still getting into the whole sport lol.

Looks good! Funny thing is... I did nearly the EXACT same thing to the same car a few years back. The color is just about the same as well! I never posted it cause it wasnt quite up to par with others Ive done.... but I just thought it was strange to see someone else do nearly the same thing I did! I still have it, but the body got a large crack during a move, so its now just a spare parts car.
