Unhappy 2005 Dodge Caravan SVT EGR valve

Where is this valve located if I need to change it or clean it? What happens if I just ignore the OBD code they found at Auto Zone and drive the vehicle anyway?

If your state does emissions tests as part of a inspection they will probably fail the inspection .

Failed emisions if you have to take them. Reduced gas mileage, possible driveability issues. There really is no cleaning an EGR valve. If the valve has failed, replacement is your only option. On your van, the EGR is located on the passenger side front of the engine, below the alternator

recently changed mine on 2004 Caravan......nothing to it. Also, you might want to check with the dealer , this part may still be under warranty. Unfortunately for me, mine was 2 months past warranty

Where exactly is the EGR valve located? Is it on the back side by the firewall with a spring going around the wire?

Thanks,
Matt

Go here: http://www.oplin.org/databases/proxy...%2fframerq.asp

Type 123456789 click submit, scroll to Cincinati Libray and click submit, scroll to ARRC and click, enter your info, select repair procedures then driveability and emission controls then emission controls again then egr valve. There's a diagram that shows it's location.
