need help with swap

I've got a 90 fox body with a bad motor, I've read on the net you can drop in the 03 svt motor. does anybody have any info on where to look, I am very good at swapping motors and such but just need to know where to get the k-frame and wiring,

i believe maximum motorsports has a k-member specifically for that swap. the wiring/ecm you would have to get from the donor vehicle.

its an interesting swap but in the long run it would be cheaper and more effective to build a 302 or 351 based engine.

Windsor - same block design as your 5.0

clevelands are great, BUT it will be much easier/cheaper to get the windsor in there. you would need a 351 swap oil pan and i believe some brackets for the accessories, all of which are available through FRPP and many other sources. its about as easy a swap as you can get and you can make 700+ HP without fear of the block coming apart.

a 5.0 stroked to 347 would be another great choice but, with the power levels that i think you have in mind, a better aftermarket block would be a necessity.

Re: need help with swap

I swapped a '89 5.8l into my old '87 mustang coupe. I was making about 600rw with a Vortech S-trim @ 14psi.

You will need:
Headers
Oil pan
Brackets (I made my own)
Belt
Crank pulley spacer
Cowl hood or scoop
- I may be forgetting something, thats all I can remember of the top of my head.

Swapping a 4.6 into a fox requires lots of fab work. Most people chop up a distributor and run it off of one of the cams. There is a ton of other stuff that you have to change/modify. Its no easy job.
