Re: climate controls will not work please help
No diagram but, I would suspect a blown fuse, blower relay, bad panel or the blower itself. There is a resistor block in the circuit that controls blower motor speeds but, if even the highspeed position doesn't work then I would say the resistor is not the problem. Highspeed bypasses the resistor block. If the fuses are good, the place to start is the blower motor connector. If an 05 is like most others, the blower is under the dash behind the glovebox. Disconnect it and check for 12vdc with the speed switch on high and ignition switch "on". If you see voltage and the ground is good you need a new blower motor. If you don't see voltage go backwards in the circuit (blower motor/relay/resistor block/control panel).
I have read that resistor blocks can damage blower motors. If you wind up changing a blower motor you might want to CYA and inspect/test the resistor block. I take it your warranty or extention has expired?
