Question 2003 Impala - 9C1 Police Package

Hi everyone. I was looking at purchasing a 2003 Impala with the 9C1 police package. It has 80k miles on it and the asking price is $5500. I was hoping to take a look at the car sometime this week. Anything in particular that I should be looking for? Does this year and model have any specific problems? Also, how hard is it to find parts for this particular model? And, mostly importantly of all, is it even worth buying? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you!

Re: 2003 Impala - 9C1 Police Package

If it was an actual on-duty police car, it will likely have very tough miles on it even if the number isn't that high. If it was a detective or investigator car then it will be like any other fleet vehicle. These cars were pretty well built, but some people experience electrical problems and problems with the cooling system after a few years. The police package is almost identical to the Impala LS, so it won't be hard to find parts.
