Talking project fiberglass trunk for 1st time!

here are some pics, what could i do to fill in the wrinkles? i used old sheets and just glassed them so it came out wavy should i use body filler?

you can't post pics from geocities, maybe you could change the pictures to links. I looked at the pics though. Do you have instructions anywhere that you're using for this. Most people lay down tin foil along the spare tire well and then lay down the fiberglass, did you do that? If I were doing it, I would lay the tin foil, lay the fiberglass a little bit thicker than needed, and then sand it smooth.

no i put garbage bags down and then glassed over it. just to get the mold then i want to build a wood box for speakers and then maybe a zex bottle

I dont get it...what are you guys doing here? making a fiberglass mold of the trunk? how's come?

(im in the midst of doing some fiber glass homework)

ok call me stupid, but I still dont get it. You make a mold of the trunk, from what the pics looked like, the same size and everything of the trunk, to make a box? Do you seal over the space for the spare and mount the speakers in that? facing up outa the box, or down into? Down into with a good seal would majorly increase your base.

i might mount it in it, i think i might change it though, i need to glass more. im taking out my back seats and making a setup out of my whole rear end.

you keep it in your glovebox and then use when need.

It's like making a regular speaker box, except the sides and bottom are made out of fiberglass so that they fit the spare tire well's dimensions perfectly, taking up less space.
