2.3L water pump replacement
I have a 1991 Mustang with the 2.3L engine. Seems to be leak that's either coming from the top of the return hose, or from the water pump. I'll be pulling the hose off later this week on my day off. Any thoughts on how difficult it is to replace the water pump on this engine. I'm just trying to prep myself with info before I get into it. Hopefully it will just be a failed hose.
Liquid only drips out, no pressure, and does not fling from the pully, but it is originating up in behind the point where the lower hose attaches. Seem to only drip when the cars running, or has been running. I put a pan under it to capture the liquid the other day, but didn't get enough to mess with. Anyone know of an online procedure for this?? Marc |
