02 Venture Fuel Pressure Regulator - Difficult to replace? Instructions?

I did a search and found a few people had replaced a leaknig Fuel Pressure Regulator.
I was wondering how hard is it to replace for a DIY like me? Is there any instructions on doing it?
Mine is leaking and the local mechanic is asking $200.00 to replace parts and labor.
With things a little tight with the holidays and so on, I was thinking of doing it myself but not sure if this is something I can do.

Thanks for any help or input.
Darren.

Re: 02 Venture Fuel Pressure Regulator - Difficult to replace? Instructions?

Hi,
The $200.00 would be very reasonable. The regulator on my '99 Montana is located under the plenum, aka upper intake manifold. If your engine is the 3.4, it's probably located in the same place. I consider it a moderate task if you have the tools and some mechanical experience. The upper intake has to be removed along with the EGR valve, ignition coil assembly, MAP sensor, cruise and throttle cables and some of the air intake ducting. The fuel pressure has to be relieved also of coarse. Maybe someone else will post for sure if your 02' is like this or not.

see your other thread. it should be the same for a 99 or an 02, on the fuel rail front right of engine.
