I can't believe this is happening

So a few days ago I posted a thread talking about how my passenger side floor was wet. Thankfully you guys are great and helped me out. Now today i get into my car and turn on the windshield wipers. They work fine until i turned them off. When i turned them off, istead of going down they stopped at a 90 degree angle, so now they are completely upright and in my view. I havent been able to get in there and fix the leaking problem under the cowling b/c we are having a snowstorm in ohio right now so i haven't had a chance. So I was thinking that water got into some electrical part or the windshield wiper motors. If someone could help me that would be great. My grand Prix is a 02 GT,2dr coupe with about 45,000 miles.

The park tab is probably bent on the wiper motor crank arm. Common problem on these cars, especially in the snow belt.

Thanks Rich, we needed that in "Tips and Maintenance" forum. It's amazing the amount of vehicles I see up here on the road with 12:00, straight up wipers.
