smoking Montero

This is probably addressed in this forum somewhere but I'm at work and can't look through the pages. My daughters 98 montero sport smokes when it first cranks up. The smoke clears after a short period of time. Is this the valve guide seals? I know it has developed an external leak because I can smell it, I'm guessing the "o" rings I keep hearing about. Does a head gasket set have all of the gaskets and seals needed to replace the valve guide seals and the "O" rings?
