strange noise

[95 cougar xr7]

when i'm driving and hit a bump in the road a strange noise comes from the front end, i took the front ttire off and everything looks ok, i just bought the car last week. any info will help

might want to take it someplace with a rack and have them take the weight off the tires and shake a few things around. On my 92' Cougar I though it was something to do with the exhaust system. It was coming from some steering component so we replace it and the problem went away. Sorry I don't recall which part it was but wasn't an expensive fix.

wats up, mine had the same noise mine was my torsion bars, not the sway bar... linking my crossmember to my lower control arm[there beefed up bars] with bushings on each side... well my bushings were split and old....i changed them [like new]....
