Shock Absorbers

I'm looking into replacing the shock absorbers on my 96 1/2 ton. I probably will replace the front two first and then the back two when I get the money. My question is what brand/type would suit my vehicle the best? It rarely/never leaves the pavement, I'm just looking for a shock that is a good replacement for what came from the factory, one with a smooth ride. I'm also looking to improve the handling in the front end. Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks!

Re: Shock Absorbers

I went with Monroe Reflex on my 99. Nice riding shock for a nominal price.

I went with Monroe Sensatrac, one "step" down? from the Reflex and they work very well on my 96' k1500
