97 blazer remote security system with starter
i have a viper 1000 security system i want to install in my 97 blazer, i was told i need a bypass module to do this and the shop ai went to want $400 to do the install. i'm looking for a cheaper way to do this. do i need a bypass module?

If your truck has a factory security system, then you do need a bypass module, to make it work. I would suggest you take it to a reputable shop, as if its not installed right, it will give you nothng but problems
