motor swap question

now i was wondering is it possible to do a motor swap on a 99-02 silverado. i.e. v6-v8. from my understanding it's not that very hard. but then again that might just be how i'm looking at it.

swap out the:
ecu.
guage cluster.
possibly wire hareness.(more than likely yes)
as well as the normal motor and mounts.

don't think it would be to hard. if you get a work truck package and plan on swapping the interior any ways than it would make it easy.

but what about the manual trans trucks. would the v6 man. trans be able to hold up to the pounding of the extra two cylinders? i don't think it would have anyproblem bolting up.

thanks for the input
