radiator problems with my 92 voyager

Hi, my name is Jessabelle and I'm new to this whole thing, so please forgive any mistakes I make.
I have a 92 voyager with 212,000 miles( I know its a lot). As of last week it started overheating as soon as the car warmed up and then would start smoking. When I opened the hood there was antifreeze all-over the place, and when I took off the radiator cap it was empty. Also, the container for the extra anti-freeze was still full for some reason. I don't have a lot of money so can't afford to take it to a mechanic right now and it is my only car. I have access to a neighbors tools and don't mind getting my hands dirty so if there is anything I can do I would love to know. I would greatly appreciate any help you guys could give me.

Thanks

-Jessabelle

Re: radiator problems with my 92 voyager

Check your upper and lower radiator hoses, radiator itself for leaks. I would also change the thermostat if you need to change any leaking hoses. IF you cannot find a leaking hose, best bet would to do a pressure test on the cooling system.

What engine?

Good Luck
