95 C280 Spitting Sputtering annoying

My C280 runs more and more poorly as days go by. It runs fine day to day at what seems to be a moderate loss of power, then when I try to drive aggressivly, at all, it starts its "spit and sputter mode". For instance when I go up a steep hill and have to press harder on the gas it first knocks 1-3 times and then forfeits almost all of the power. Other instances are when Im making a sharp turn it will knock then seemingly almost die followed by a very slow reaction time and svere loss of power until restart when it runs fine again can any help me.

have you checked your engine wiring harness? the insulation cracks and you have to tape it up.

Re: 95 C280 Spitting Sputtering annoying

its under the shroud that covers the top of the motor. the shroud is easy to take off. it covers the plugs and coils. the engine wiring harness connects all the plug wires and stuff. its a bundle of wires on top of the motor. your wires are most likley dried and cracked. pretty much a given on 94 & 95. replacement part costs $1000. plus install. sick huh? i taped mine a year ago. so far so good.
