transmission or transaxle fluid

Hi I am in need of some help. I cannot find the transmission fluid dipstick on my 2000 Alero. It is an automatic 2.4 GL. I believe that I have a leak in one of the lines because I am leaking a redish fluid and my antifreeze is yellowish green however it is leaking up near the front of the hood. Anyway I cannot find the dipstick to check the fluid. Does anyone know where it is or how to check the fluid. Thanks.
