94 Grand Am Headlight Electrical Problem

94 Grand Am Canadian model with daytime driving lights. Problem is that when I put the trans in drive the full headlight system comes on encluding dash and radio lights also tail lights. Only the daytime lights are supposed to light(front lights only) also while driving the dash and radio lights blink at high speed. Could it be a stuck relay ?? If so where is it ?

Re: 94 Grand Am Headlight Electrical Problem

Welcome to AF.

Yes thiers a DRL relay, under the hood, not sure on its exact local tho.

Also if the ground(s) broken then you lights would possibly energise the entire circuit, not just the DRL's.

I would check your grounds for the headlights under the hood, close to the inner fender wells or by the front radiator support. They are usualy kinda hidden or just out of direct sight.

With the flashy radio, its hard to say whether thats related or not. Probly just another bad Delco radio.

Hope that helps!
