cd player trouble
ok so i was connecting an amp yo my crappy cd player. The remote touched my cd player and it popped. The cd player reads the cd it just wont make any noise. Is my cd player fried or is it something else.

the remote wire touched your CD player? i'm not sure how that would do it, but it could be that you've fried the internal amplifier in your headunit. i'm gona go on a limb here and ask, did you disconect your battery terminal before starting out?

I think he means the remote amp turn on wire ...... the internal amp should still work but you will have to wire a switch to turn the amps on.

no, i'm pretty sure you either blew your remote inline fuse, or another fuse. the remote grounded on the body of the CD player, so if your speakers are amped, the remote wire isn't telling the amp to turn on, because the inline fuse is popped.
