1.5 or 1.8?

i am driving a 98 protege. i know they come with 1.5 and 1.8l engines, but i cant find that anywhere on the engine. anyone know how i can tell which it is?

The sticker on the underside of the hood will indicate the engine size. It may be in cc's or in ci's.

Either that, or just give your local dealer a call, have the VIN # handy for the parts guy, and he can look it up for you.
