98 yukon, how much fuel pressure
I have a 1998 yukon, I just put in a fuel pump about 3000 miles ago. Now when it is cold in the mornings it will start and then die, start and then die. It will do this about 3 or 4 times then it will run. It only does it in the mornings when it is cold and has been sitting overnight. I tested the fuel pressure and it idles at around 52 pounds. Is this enough fuel pressure, or do I have something else wrong, sure hate to take it to the stealership again. thanks. Oh by the way, I got the fuel pump from a napa store.

Re: 98 yukon, how much fuel pressure
Normal pressure is 60-65 psi, you really need this when starting, did you replace the inline filter? If so the usually troublesome regulator could be the issue.

yes I did replace the inline filter, can you tell me where the regulator is. I think someone told me once that it is under the intake stuff and is a tough job.

Correct under the intake plenum.
