Engine drank some water

Het guys, Need some help. I've got a 1998 Tahoe 4wd with a 350 engine. A couple of nights ago I was playing in the mud and got stuck to the point my fan was slinging water. I have a cold air induction where the filter is out where you can see it and long story short the motor was sucking the water off the wet filter. The engine is now running rough, smoking and smells like its running rich. I pulled the plugs and they all had a black smutty look. I've checked for water in the distribitor cap and inside electical connections. Could I of messed up the mass air sensor and if so does this sound like symptoms of that or could it be something else. Oh and I don't have access to a OBDll scanner. Thanks for any help.

Re: Engine drank some water

Perhaps I don't need to ask this, but have you tried running it without the wet air filter in place?

Re: Engine drank some water

You may have damaged the MAF, also as mentioned a soaked filter can cause this.

Re: Engine drank some water

Yea I pulled the K&N filter off the next day and cleaned it dryed it and reoiled it. I hope I found my problem though. Had a friend helping this evening and when I fired it up for him he noticed there is arching around 3 of the plugs on the side that the water was on. I figure I must have some slight cracking around the plugs where the porcilin connects to the metal. Thanks guys
