fuses

I have a 98 malibu iwnet to replace the brake light and when i did i lost the back light s abd dash lights but i do have brake lights and was told the problem with my tail light and dash lights might be the IS fuse where can i find it? Also does the service engine light soon came on at the same time does it have with the lights being out as it all happen at the same time

not enough info,what do you mean IS fuse.need year make and model.need descripition of problem and engine size.
