Question 88 Reliant no forward gears

Was driving the other day and lost all forward gears. It goes fine in reverse but wont go forward. This is an automatic. Checked fluid level and it is fine. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Re: 88 Reliant no forward gears

Sounds like you lost your rear clutch pack. Its most likely worn to the point that it no longer engages. What color is your fluid? If its brown or burnt smelling, you will need to rebuild the tranny. A fluid and filter change right now might help, but its probably too late.

Let us know what you find and what you do.
