Laguna 1.9 DCi Problem - Please Help!

Hi Everyone,

We have a Laguna 1.9 DCi Inital 2002 52 Reg (6SPD Manual). The car has developed a problem where the ABS light is on constant along with the handbrake on light and the speedo has stopped working. Checked all the obvious fuses ect ect but thought someone might be able to shed some light???

Any help or advice would be greatfully received.

I have the same problem with my Laguna I.
Did you resolve the problem and how?

I too have the same problem, i have noticed it occurs during warmer weather for some reason, i temporarily solve the problem by turning the engine off & waiting a few seconds for evrything to shut down (say about 10 secs) then trying again. It works for me but its so annoying. i think it may be to do with the card reader being faulty but im trying to hold back on getting replacement.

The problem with my car was in bad cable contacts on ABS computer.
A friend of mine who is an electrician repaired the cables for free.

At the Renault service they told me that there might be something with the ABS computer but they are not sure.... the repair would cost me €350 + €70 for work .

My advise is check the cables at the ABS computer.
