Cranks but won't start

HI and thanks for any help or insight you can shed!

Something new to add to my long list of issues with this car...

It's a 2000 V6 with roughly 150K.

I recently had the LIM done for the second time and she hasn't been right since I got her back. Was misfiring and still consuming cooling, changed a plug and wire, tightened all hoses and it was fine for 2 weeks. Then I would randomly get that "misfire" feeling on the highway (only on inclines) but it was very intermitten, like once or twice over a 60 mile drive. My SES light came back on and the 2 codes were "Knock Sensor" and "Crank Shaft Positioning Sensor". Mechanic reset codes and said try her again. Through all of this she's been rough starting but I attributed it to the cold weather, she just needed a little gas to get going... well Friday I went to work and all was well.. went to lunch and had trouble starting her but once started, all was well. Went out after work and the car would not start. When I turn the key to try and start it it cranks but it never fires up. I'm no mechanic but I don't think she's getting any gas.

Since i live 60 miles from work I just came home and left the car there. Tomorrow me and my mechanic are driving out to it and I just wanted to know some things to look for. After reading all these posts, this is what I've come up with:

1. Check to see if Sec light is on while key is in "on". If so, leave 10 minutes to reset passlock.
2. Check to see if I can hear fuel pump priming when turning car to on.
3. Check fuel pressure, should be around 55?
4. Replace fuel pump relay
5. Replace Fuel Filter and pump

This is the order I was going to attack the issue. Any suggestions or thoughts on what this could be? Over the past 6 weeks, since the cold weather really hit, this car has been nothing but problems and I'd really like to get this solved because being stranded 60 miles from home is not too fun.

ON a side note, Thursday after work my driverside window would not work at all and then Friday it magically worked again. Could all of this be electrical?

Thanks!

Fuel filter would be a good start. If that doesn't work then check fuel pressure at the rear fuel rail Schrader valve. By the power steering pump. PSI mentioned is about right. Also, in addition to fuel pump prime and at idle check fuel pressure with and without vacuum line connected at the fuel pressure regulator.

Re: Cranks but won't start

Thanks for the advice. It actually ended up being the starter that was keeping the car from starting. It was turning but the starter drive was broken so it was not engaging the fly wheel. Luckily my friends dad works for a large truck repair company, so replacing a starter was nothing for him, and it was working again 3 hours after having it towed to him. I am having some more issues now/still that I am posting in a different thread since they are unrelated to this problem.

Thanks!
