sr20det question

what is better a side mount intercooler or a front mount? i want to hear what everybody elses opinion is to help me make my decision.

depends on application. a stockish SR with the stock turbo can use a sidemount pretty effectively, given good airflow across it. a front mount has 2 downsides: mismatched, it can lead to poor cooling from the lack of air across the radiator, and the more volume of air between the turbo and throttle body will increase turbo lag and throttle response. properly sizing intercoolers is the key.
