1993 stealth sohc blowing alternator fuse
I have a 93 stealth sohc m/t and it had been running fine, until one day the all the electrical flickered off and on, after that none of my power accessories in the car would not work unless the car was on and the alternator wouldn't charge. I found the problem, it being the alternator fuse under the hood. I changed it but the fuse keeps blowing when I am driving. My car also started shaking when I drive and I don't know what would have to do with this. This all happened in one day. Any ideas will help out a lot.

Re: 1993 stealth sohc blowing alternator fuse
the same problem happened to me. i was getting nothing in my dash panel, barely any power to my door lights and junk... the fuse i don't know.
the shaking i had as well. ehm since i'm probably wrong anyway, i suggest just checking out your battery and the terminals. that was my problem. if you see a lot of the nast building up, clean the terminals and the battery reallllly good and reconnect everything. then see what happens. if your battery is clean, ignore this.

Re: 1993 stealth sohc blowing alternator fuse
Check the intermediate shaft bracket. Mine was loose once and it must have made contact because it blew my altenator fuse.

Re: 1993 stealth sohc blowing alternator fuse/2nd problem car won't catch gears now
Ok my friend came down and I took him out, i didn't have a chance to see if it was my shaft linkage. I was goin 120 and all of a sudden it went out of gear. I can put it in gear with out pushing the clutch but the gears arent catching. you can hear a noise from the tranny like it is trying to catch. but i need to step on the clutch to start it. so is it my clutch, tranny, or could it be because I didn't check the shaft linkage and it could have came off or something and that is why it isn't catching. any ideas will help.

Re: 1993 stealth sohc blowing alternator fuse/2nd problem car won't catch gears now
Well at 120 you would either be at the VERY top of 4th or 5th.
If that shaft is loose going 120 is nt very smart. Its not that hard to jack the car up and look. You got to use your head man. As for the issue, at hand you need to be more specific. How are you trying to put it in gear? With the car off? With the car idling?

Re: 1993 stealth sohc blowing alternator fuse
I looked under the car and it was the shaft it popped out of the tranny . I bought some bolts and put them in. It is running good now, but it still shakes alittle. I'll just check the bolts again tomorrow. Thanks for the help
