Honda Civic 99

Yo guys, I have a quick question... What engine do I have? lol this is the first Honda that I have. It is a Honda Civic 99 LX everything with factory. I was thinking of getting this piece. Do you think it will fit?

Also, I have a question about cold air intakes.... Does it really get too messy? Are there big chances if water getting into the engine and blow it?

thanks

Re: Honda Civic 99

Yes It'll fit your engine, the LX has the D16Y7 engine (non VTEC). Since the filter is so close to the bottom of the engine, there is a chance of hydrolocking, just be mindful not to drive into large puddles or through any standing water, or you run the good risk of stalling out.

Btw, I highly doubt that this cold air will give you the advertised 16 HP gain, around 5 HP is more realistic.
